When you’re Home Instructions:

Feeding Schedule:

  • The recommended feeding times are at 6:30 AM and 4:00 PM, but you can adjust them to align with your family’s schedule. An alternative feeding schedule is at 4:30 PM and ideally before bedtime, ensuring your puppy is emptied.  Water should be available to your puppy until around 8:30 PM, after which it should be removed to avoid nighttime accidents. Just before bedtime, take your puppy outside for their final bathroom break.

Vaccinations:

  • Your puppy has received only one parvo shot to date. Your veterinarian will administer the next three parvo shots and the rabies vaccine. Please exercise caution regarding where you take your puppy until all vaccinations are completed. If you are traveling a long distance, it is advisable to allow your puppy to relieve themselves on pavement rather than grass. It may be helpful to bring paper towels, Lysol wipes, and a trash bag for your journey.

Potty Training:

  • Many individuals find success in potty training by attaching a bell to the door’s doorknob and teaching their puppy to ring it when they need to go outside.  https://clayacres.com/potty-training/

Safety Precautions:

  • Be particularly cautious about your puppy jumping off furniture or attempting to climb stairs, as their bones are not yet fully developed.

Spaying/Neutering:

  • It is recommended to consider spaying or neutering your dog around the age of two, allowing for both physical and hormonal maturation.
  • Ongoing Support:
  • Please remember that we are committed to your puppy’s well-being. Feel free to reach out at any time with questions or concerns, even long after your puppy has gone home.

Reviews:

  • Approximately two weeks after your puppy comes home, you will receive a link to write a review on Google. You can also share your thoughts on our Clay Acres Frenchies Facebook page. Taking a moment to leave a review is greatly appreciated and helps future customers.

Wishing you, your family, and your new puppy many years of cherished memories and happiness together.
