Jason and Brandy Dawson with their French Bulldogs on the porch of their Claycomo home

Claycomo, Missouri · Family raised since 2005

Clay AcresFrench Bulldogs

We are Jason and Brandy Dawson, and this is our home — not a kennel. One or two litters a year, raised underfoot on our 1.5 acres just outside Kansas City, from DNA-screened, AKC-registered parents we know down to the last detail.

Welcome to our home

Come meet the dogs

Thank you for stopping by. We know you are probably looking at several breeders right now, and you should be — there are a lot of people selling French Bulldogs who have never sat on the floor with a whelping box at 3 a.m. We have, for about twenty years. Ask us anything, ask for more pictures, ask to meet the parents. The honest answer is always the fastest way for both of us to know whether one of our puppies belongs in your family.

Our family

Jason & Brandy Dawson

Jason has been raising French Bulldogs for close to twenty years. He spends his working hours in IT, which is a polite way of saying he keeps meticulous records on every pairing, every health panel, and every weight check. Brandy works in fabrication and is the one who notices a puppy is off half a day before anybody else does.

Together with our kids we live on 1.5 acres near Claycomo, Missouri, minutes from Kansas City. The dogs live in the house with us. Litters are whelped in our nursery, weaned in our living room, and socialized against everything a normal family home throws at them — kids, the vacuum, the doorbell, the grill, company on a Saturday.

We plan one to two litters a year. That is on purpose. It is the only way we can promise every buyer that we genuinely know the puppy they are bringing home.

What makes us different

Four things we will not compromise

  • DNA-screened parents

Both parents are AKC-registered, four-panel health tested, and color/DNA tested before we ever plan a pairing. We will show you the results.

  • Home-raised, never kennel-raised

Whelped in our nursery, weaned in our living room, socialized against real family noise from day one. No runs, no cages, no crowds.

  • Temperament and structure

We breed for the calm, level-headed Frenchie temperament and for sound structure — wide, balanced, and built to move comfortably.

  • A relationship for life

Our number stays in your phone. Questions at eight weeks or eight years, we answer. If life changes, our dogs always come back to us.

The parents

Meet our program dogs

Every puppy we place comes from these two. Health panels, color testing, and pedigrees are available to look at whenever you ask — just text us.

Things we actually use

What we send home with you

These are not ads. They are the three things we get asked about most, because they are the food, supplement, and insurance already in use in our own house.

The supplement we use

NuVet Plus

Every puppy here is on NuVet Plus before it leaves us, and we keep our adults on it too. It is what we credit for the coats and the immune systems. If you want to keep your puppy on it, order by phone at 800-474-7044 and use our breeder order code 79652.

What we feed

TLC All Life Stages

Our whole house eats TLC. It ships straight to your door, it is the exact food your puppy is already eating here, and switching brands the same week you move a puppy is asking for an upset stomach. Set up autoship so you never run short.

The insurance we hand you

Every Clay Acres buyer gets 30 days of free Trupanion coverage — 90% of eligible costs with no payout limit, details vary by state. Activate it with our breeder code BR1CA51823 on the day you take your puppy home, before anything can happen.
